Planting Service

In striving to provide the best possible service to our valuable clients, we offer a planting service. The service is done by a Gardener’s World authorized, licensed and bonded Landscape Contractor that follows our policies and practices for installation. While we can provide installation for irrigation systems, lawns, hardscapes, and other services, the charge listed below include labor for planting only. All other charges must be arranged between the client and the landscape contractor.

Our authorized contractors provide exceptional quality service and installation. To take advantage of this great service, select your plants with a Gardener’s World team member. Once an order has been placed, the Landscape Contractor will contact the client and make the necessary arrangements. Please note: all planting schedules are set between client and Landscape Contractor. Gardener’s World employees are not able to set appointments for installation. Delivery of the material will be arranged between the Landscape Contractor and Gardener’s World shipping department. Due to contractual agreements, Gardener’s World sales personnel are unable to provide planting services themselves, either on their own or on Gardener’s World time.

The charges listed below are for normal conditions. Occasionally, the Landscape Contractor will experience unforeseen difficulties which requires additional equipment or personnel. For this reason, areas with extremely hard or rocky soil, or difficult accessibility may incur additional charges. In these instances the contractor will advise the client of the situation and additional charges. To avoid these charges, please presoak the area(s) at least 3 days prior to scheduled planting for up to 8 hours on a slow drip. Any such charges over or above the set prices below are the responsibility of the client and the contractor. The client may choose to cancel the planting service, in which case the contractor will notify Gardener’s World and a credit will be issued within 10 working days. If the client cancels after the plant material has been delivered, a 15% restocking charge will be deducted from the credit. Delivery charges are not refundable. Any material returned due to a cancellation must be in good condition. It is also the responsibility of the client to determine the location of underground utilities, waterlines, etc. A blue-stake service may need to be called in some cases to locate lines. Under no conditions is Gardener’s World liable for damage out side of the contractor’s normal liability insurance.

Items larger than a 24” box size will be quoted on an individual basis after the contractor’s evaluation. Complete yard installations or redo’s will also be quoted by the contractor on an individual basis.

Appointments for quotations will be made through the contractor.

Materials such as mulch, starter fertilizer, and soil acidifier are included in all the listed prices. Additional delivery charges are:

Zone 1: $53.50

Zone 2: $64.50

Zone 3: $86.50

Charges outsideof Zone 3 will be set between client and Landscape Contractor

 

Staking Service:

$24.00 per tree. Service is available only with planting service and Includes two wooden stakes, tree ties, and labor. All staking needs for established trees will be quoted on an individual basis by the Landscape Contractor.

All charges are payable in advance of services performed except as noted in the first paragraph.

Guarantee:

All plant material installed by Gardener’s World authorized contractor is guarantee for 90 days from date of installation provided the plant material is maintain and serviced by an adequate automated irrigation system. IF THE CONTRACTOR DETERMINS THAT IRRIGATION IS INSUFFICIENT OR THAT CONDITIONS ARE ADVERSE ENOUGH THAT SURVIVAL IS QUESTIONABLE, THE GUARANTEE IN NULL. PLANT MATERIAL IS NOT GUARANTEED AGAINST WIND, HAIL, STORM AND/OR FROST DAMAGE AND/OR OTHER ACTS OF GOD.
